Mirziyoyev meets Tajik President Imomali Rahmon at Kuksaroy

Today, on November 15, at the Kuksaroy Palace, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, who arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the seventh Consultation Meeting of Central Asian leaders, the Uzbek presidential press service reported.

The leaders discussed key issues related to further strengthening Uzbek–Tajik friendship, good-neighborliness, strategic partnership, and alliance relations. They focused on measures to increase bilateral trade and advance cooperation projects in priority sectors, including industry, energy, agriculture, and other strategic areas.

The importance of continuing active cultural–humanitarian exchanges and effective interregional cooperation was emphasized. The leaders also exchanged views on enhancing regional collaboration across Central Asia.

The summit, chaired by President Mirziyoyev, will take place in Tashkent on November 15–16, 2025, and is expected to conclude with the adoption of a substantial package of multilateral documents.

It is worth noting that earlier, at the invitation of President Mirziyoyev, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Tashkent as an honorary guest for the meeting and held talks with the Uzbek leader. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov also arrived in Tashkent to participate in the summit and met with President Mirziyoyev.
