Mirziyoyev signs joint declaration with Mongolian President

Following high-level talks in Ulaanbaatar, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh adopted a joint declaration on the establishment of comprehensive partnership relations. This was reported by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.
In the presence of both leaders, the following documents were also signed:
- Agreements on cooperation in the areas of plant quarantine and protection, higher education, the mining industry, environmental protection, crime prevention and combating, healthcare and medical science, and physical education and sports;
- A protocol on cooperation between the archival departments of the two countries;
- Cooperation programs between the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Economy and Development of Mongolia; between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs for 2026–2027; and between the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth of Mongolia for 2025–2028;
- A cooperation plan to expand ties in the agricultural sector between the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia;
- An action plan in the field of ecotourism between the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth of Mongolia.
It should be recalled that on June 24, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Mongolia with his wife on a state visit—the first high-level visit between the two countries since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992. The visit is considered reciprocal, as the President of Mongolia visited Uzbekistan in 2024. During the meetings, the two leaders signed 14 bilateral agreements and documents.
