People promising jobs in Israel detained

People who allegedly promised to send citizens to work in Israel were detained in Jizzakh and Samarkand regions, while similar cases involving promised jobs in Bulgaria and Lithuania were reported in Bukhara. The Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General’s Office reported this.

According to the department, during an operation conducted by its Mirzachul district office together with other law enforcement agencies, citizen A.B. was caught with physical evidence while receiving $4,000 of an agreed $10,000 from citizen Z.I. He allegedly claimed that he could send the citizen to Israel for work through acquaintances supposedly holding senior positions.

In another operation conducted by the department’s Bukhara city office together with other law enforcement agencies, citizen D.A. was detained with physical evidence while receiving $3,400 from citizens U.R. and A.J. He had allegedly gained their trust by promising to help them obtain visas and send them to Bulgaria and Lithuania for employment through acquaintances supposedly living abroad.

In Samarkand Region, during an operation conducted by the department’s regional office together with other law enforcement agencies, O.A., the head of S.T. LLC, was detained with physical evidence while receiving an advance payment of $2,000 from citizen M.M. He had allegedly promised to arrange a work visa and send the citizen to Israel for employment in exchange for $17,000.

Criminal cases have been opened under Articles 25 and 168 of the Criminal Code, attempted fraud, and Articles 28 and 211, complicity in bribery. Investigative actions are underway.

Earlier, similar cases were reported in Kashkadarya and Navoi regions, where individuals were detained for allegedly promising to send citizens abroad for work.
