Shopping center catches fire in Navoi region (video)

On the morning of May 6, a fire broke out at a shopping complex in the Karmana district of Navoi region. The incident was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to the Ministry, the fire was first reported at 05:15 a.m. via the 112 emergency system. It occurred at a shopping center located on Argun Street, in the "Argun" neighborhood of Karmana district. Fire-rescue crews arrived promptly at 05:18, managed to contain the blaze by 05:50, and fully extinguished it by 06:24.

The fire destroyed the interior of the complex, including goods across an area of 200 square meters. In total, six main fire engines and one special unit were involved in the firefighting operation. No casualties or injuries have been reported at this time.

For reference, a recent fire also occurred at a synthiphone production facility located in the technopark on Kushbegi Street in Tashkent’s Yakkasaroy district. That incident tragically resulted in two deaths and five injuries.
