Fifty-two tourism-related projects worth \$1.8 billion will be launched in the Parkent district of the Tashkent region. This was announced on June 18 during President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s visit to the area.

According to the presentation, the implementation of these projects is expected to create 3,300 jobs and enable the district to host up to 1 million tourists annually. Among the most ambitious initiatives is a large-scale ski resort project being developed by an Austrian company on 1,200 hectares of land.

The President was briefed on the project, which will include 3-, 4-, and 5-star hotels, a ski and zip line complex, chalets, picnic areas, restaurants, and healthcare services. The resort will be developed in three stages and, at full capacity, will be able to accommodate up to 15,000 visitors per day. Around 600 service facilities will be constructed as part of the project.

In addition to seasonal tourism, the development is expected to generate approximately 10,000 new jobs. The resort is envisioned to become one of the Tashkent region’s largest tourist destinations, comparable to the "Amirsoy" resort in Bostanlyk.

It should be noted that earlier the same day, President Mirziyoyev also visited the construction site of the Tashkent-Sharqiy airport, which is being developed to enhance aviation and tourism infrastructure in the region.
