Tashkent residents issued weather warning

Rain and strong winds are expected in Tashkent on February 11, prompting the city’s Emergency Situations Department to issue a public warning.
Residents have been urged to follow safety precautions. In particular, authorities advised securing doors, windows, attics and ventilation systems in residential buildings.
People are also advised not to stand under trees or power poles outdoors and to remove or secure items on balconies, window sills and other exterior areas of multi-storey buildings.
During strong winds, residents are advised to seek shelter in sturdy buildings, underground passages or other safe locations. Authorities also warned against entering damaged buildings or sheltering near unstable poles, advertising structures or trees.
Drivers are urged not to leave vehicles under trees or lightweight structures.
