Ravshan Gulomov appointed to new position

Ravshan Ayubovich Gulomov has been relieved of his duties as adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Economic Policy in connection with his new appointment. The information was reported by Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov.

According to the Presidential decree, Ravshan Ayubovich Gulomov has been appointed adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Regional Development and, accordingly, dismissed from his position as adviser on Economic Policy.

Ravshan Ayubovich Gulomov has held several key positions throughout his career, including First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank (2001–2004), First Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Uzbekistan (2004–2006), Chairman of Asaka Bank (2006–2007), First Deputy Minister of Finance (2009–2010), Minister of Economy (2010–2011), Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Trade and Investments (2011–2012), and Executive Director of the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan (2012–2017).
