A 23-year-old citizen of a Central Asian country was arrested in the Russian city of Vladivostok for sending sexually explicit materials and messages to a schoolgirl and offering to live with her, the country's Investigative Committee reported.
When the girl began receiving strange messages, she did not respond. Later, the schoolgirl told the man that she was not yet 18 and asked him to stop writing to her.
Although the man knew the age of his interlocutor, he still tried to get her attention. He wrote declarations of love to the girl in Russian and offered to live with her.
He also sent the girl sexually explicit materials. Eventually, the underage girl turned to the police because the messages did not stop. The suspect was arrested at his workplace in one of the city's public catering establishments. He was taken to a temporary detention center for questioning.
The investigating authorities have opened a criminal case under Article 135 of the Russian Criminal Code (immoral acts). The suspect was identified as a man born in 2003.
According to reports circulating on social networks, the man was a citizen of Uzbekistan, but this information has not been officially confirmed.
It is worth noting that earlier, a court sentenced an Uzbek citizen to life imprisonment in a high-profile criminal case involving the rape and murder of a 16-year-old girl in the village of Turtkul in the Turkestan region of Kazakhstan.
