Today, January 14, a passenger bus traveling from Russia through Kazakhstan was forced to stop on the Mamlyutka–Kostanay highway in the North Kazakhstan Region due to a technical malfunction caused by temperatures dropping to minus 30 degrees Celsius. The incident was reported by Inbusiness.kz, citing the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to the report, the bus was operating on the Tyumen–Shymkent route when it broke down due to technical problems. As a result, 18 passengers were temporarily stranded on the road. Emergency services promptly arrived at the scene and evacuated all passengers from the bus. All of them were citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The evacuated passengers were taken to a nearby heating center, where they were provided with temporary shelter and necessary conditions. Officials said no one was injured in the incident, and there is currently no threat to the passengers’ lives or health.
It is worth noting that earlier reports said that Uzbekistan and Russian aircraft narrowly avoided a collision in Kazakhstan’s airspace.
