Videos have circulated on social media showing a Spark driver failing to yield to an ambulance in the Samarkand region. The Republican emergency medical center has commented on the incident.
It was stated that in connection with the incident, the responsible authorities identified the Spark driver and took appropriate measures, including conducting explanatory work. In particular, an administrative protocol was drawn up against him under Article 128-5 of the Administrative Liability Code (interference by drivers of vehicles, creating an accident situation, or driving into the opposite lane). According to this article, a fine in the amount of five times the basic calculation unit (2 million 60 thousand soums) is imposed.
"Drivers who obstruct the passage of emergency and special service vehicles approaching with blue, red, or combined blue-and-red flashing beacons and special sound signals will be held liable", the Republican emergency medical center reminded.
It is worth noting that earlier, an ambulance collided with a Spark vehicle in Tashkent’s Yangihayot district. No injuries were reported as a result of the traffic accident.
