On January 13, President of Uzbekistan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited a technopark in the city of Chirchiq, where he reviewed the operations of defense industry enterprises. The presidential press service reported this.

It was noted that the site has established the production of armored and special vehicles, as well as several types of remotely controlled combat modules distinguished by their advanced functional capabilities and technical characteristics.

These solutions are designed to engage both mobile and stationary targets, including in conditions of limited visibility. The systems are equipped with automated control and stabilization, optical and acoustic surveillance systems, as well as modern targeting equipment.

The President was briefed on the production stages, which include assembling key components, installing optical-electronic and stabilization systems, software configuration and hermeticity control, weapons integration, and comprehensive testing. At the final stage, the finished modules are mounted on light armored vehicle prototypes and tested in field conditions.

The combat modules are intended for use on various platforms, including light armored vehicles, special-purpose vehicles, boats, and armored personnel carriers.

The project is being implemented jointly with a number of foreign partners, with the participation of relevant Uzbek agencies and industrial enterprises.

According to the report, all these efforts serve to increase the production of high-tech products at Uzbekistan’s defense industry enterprises, create jobs, and develop the country’s own industrial and technological base.

The President emphasized the importance of strictly complying with requirements for product quality and reliability, consistently expanding localization, developing engineering competencies, and deepening industrial cooperation. He issued relevant instructions to officials.

Earlier, it was reported that Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Chirchiq Aviation Repair Plant, where he reviewed the results of large-scale modernization and the operations of new high-tech units.

In addition, the President of Uzbekistan visited the Special Operations Forces training ground in Tashkent region and observed the active phase of exercises being conducted by Armed Forces units.
