Shavkat Mirziyoyev visits ethno village in Termez

On February 26, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the newly established ethno village in the city of Termez. This was reported by the press service of the Uzbek leader.
According to the report, the project was created as a new cultural destination with modern infrastructure designed to showcase the history, craftsmanship, and traditional arts of the Surkhandarya region.


The complex was built with $10 million in investment. Covering six hectares, it features historically styled buildings, a family guesthouse, a dombra workshop, a bakhshi performance exhibition, a national cuisine restaurant, a children’s playground, and musical fountains.

The village has the capacity to serve up to 180,000 tourists annually and will create 250 permanent jobs. Visitors can not only purchase handicrafts but also observe artisans at work.

The President reviewed the conditions created at the tourism site, spoke with craftsmen, and watched a cultural program organized for visitors.

Earlier, during his visit to the Surkhandarya region, Shavkat Mirziyoyev launched 44 projects worth a total of $7.1 billion. The President also visited the “Yangi Uzbekistan” residential complex under construction in the Jarkurgan district, took part in the sumalak festival, and visited a military unit in the region.
