Authorities in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Kashkadaryo region have arrested individuals who promised hospital employment, the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.
According to the department, during a joint operation involving the Karakalpakstan branch of the department, the State Security Service, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, an employee of the Republican Scientific Center for emergency medical care’s Karakalpakstan branch, Z.K., was caught red-handed receiving 32 million soums from citizen A.A. in exchange for promising a job at the branch.
Similarly, in a joint operation by the Kashkadaryo regional department and law enforcement, the head of the personnel department of the Qarshi district medical association, H.Q., was caught with evidence of receiving $1,000 from citizen U.Q. in exchange for promising a position at the Qarshi district central polyclinic with the help of her contacts.
Criminal cases have been initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are ongoing.
It is worth noting that earlier, individuals promising employment at medical institutions were caught receiving money in the Andijan and Jizzakh regions.
