Microsoft has identified the professions most at risk of being affected by artificial intelligence (AI) in a new study conducted by Microsoft Research.

The professions most vulnerable to AI impact include:

  •  Translators
  •  Writers
  •  Historians
  •  Customer service representatives
  •  Stewards
  •  Salespeople
  •  CNC programmers (Computer Numerical Control systems)
  •  Telephone operators
  •  Ticket office cashiers
  •  Radio hosts and DJs

According to Microsoft experts, these are the sectors where AI technologies are being rapidly adopted. However, this does not imply a complete replacement of human labor. Instead, it signals a shift toward a new model of collaboration between humans and technology, aimed at increasing work efficiency through the assistance of AI.

At the same time, Microsoft has also identified professions that are least at risk:

  •  Equipment operators
  •  Manual workers
  •  Medical workers
  •  Masseurs

These fields are considered less susceptible to automation by AI, as they involve tasks requiring physical activity, sensory perception, and motor skills.

Microsoft's own AI assistant, Copilot, is integrated into Windows and Edge browsers. Advanced generative AI models such as ChatGPT, DALL·E, and Grok also operate on the Azure platform.

It should be noted that earlier in China, a humanoid robot named Xueba 01 ("Excellent Student") was accepted into a doctoral program in drama and film at one of the country’s leading universities.
