Earlier, it was reported that Hikmatillo Dadakhanov, governor of Shahrikhan district in Andijan Region, destroyed tandoors at local eateries during an ecological raid. The regional administration has now confirmed that he received a formal reprimand for his actions.
According to the report, the incident in which tandoors were damaged under the governor’s orders was promptly investigated. Dadakhanov, who displayed negligence in this matter, was subjected to a disciplinary measure in the form of a reprimand.
“Explanations were provided to prevent such incidents from recurring,” the statement noted.
For context, previously in Buvayda district of Fergana Region, deputy district governor Saidali Khizirov used force against a National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change inspector, Ahrorjon Niyozov, and had him taken to the district police department. Khizirov was later dismissed, and a criminal case was opened against him.
