In Tashkent, a citizen was detained while attempting to give $10,000 to a criminal investigation officer in exchange for not taking action in a case. This was reported by the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the capital.

According to the report, during an operational raid conducted by the Shaykhantohur district internal affairs office, a person was found storing narcotic drugs in his home. During the operation, the suspect offered a large bribe to the criminal investigation officer, asking him not to pursue the case. The officer refused the bribe and repeatedly emphasized that both giving and receiving bribes are against the law. However, the citizen persisted.

Following this, the officer filed a complaint with the capital’s internal affairs office. Based on this complaint, the suspect was detained while handing over $10,000 during an operation carried out with the participation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the prosecutor’s office.
