Hot water and heating tariffs for residents of Tashkent will rise by 15 percent. The decision was signed on October 27 by the city mayor, Shavkat Umurzakov.

According to the resolution:

  •  The base tariff, excluding VAT, is set at 711,641 soums per Gcal;
  •  For the population – 139,860 soums per Gcal (excluding VAT);
  •  For budget organizations – 952,797 soums per Gcal (excluding VAT);
  •  For other wholesale service providers – 342,296 soums per Gcal (excluding VAT).

The document notes that losses arising from the application of reduced tariffs for the population, as well as investment-related expenses, will be compensated monthly from the local budget of Tashkent through subsidies.

These subsidies will be allocated based on calculations submitted by “Veolia Energy Tashkent” LLC and the Tashkent City Public-Private Partnership Department, covering both fixed and variable costs, as well as investment expenses.
