Date announced for start of heating season in Tashkent

Starting from November 3, centralized heating will be supplied to social facilities in Tashkent, while residential complexes will begin receiving heat from November 5. This decision was approved by the city’s mayor, Shavkat Umurzakov.

The city administration has urged residents to report any issues or malfunctions that may occur during the heating activation process in residential buildings or other facilities. In cases where heating suppliers or responsible officials fail to properly fulfill their duties, citizens are asked to call 1055 or 71 210-01-87, or contact the mayor’s office through its social media pages.

According to the government’s resolution “On Additional Measures to Introduce Market Mechanisms in the Fuel and Energy Sector,” the basic consumption norm for natural gas during the heating season will be increased fivefold. From November to February, the monthly base rate is set at up to 500 cubic meters, while from March to October, it will be 100 cubic meters per month.

Due to higher natural gas consumption during the autumn–winter period, the monthly base rate for the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region has also been set at 500 cubic meters for the months from October to February.
