More than 30,000 people were penalized in Tashkent for not paying bus fares

In the first three months of this year, 32,450 cases of fare evasion on buses were identified in Tashkent. This was reported by the Transport Control Inspectorate under the Ministry of Transport.

According to the report, the Transport Control Inspectorate, in cooperation with employees of the Tashkent City Passenger Transport Monitoring and Control Directorate, continues intensified enforcement measures against passengers traveling on buses without paying the fare.

According to the data, inspectors recorded 32,450 violations over the past three months of this year, and administrative reports were drawn up in each case.

The payment system and inspectors’ activities have now been digitized, and enforcement measures are being carried out in a targeted manner on specific routes based on monitoring results. In particular, stricter fare control was introduced on eight routes, bringing the total to 28 routes since the beginning of 2026, and as a result, the number of transactions on those routes increased comparatively.

It is worth noting that earlier it was reported that 11,502 reports had been issued against fare evaders in January this year.
