Illegal drug storage facility uncovered in Tashkent region (video)

A concealed storage facility has been uncovered in Tashkent district of Tashkent region. This was reported by the State Security Service.
According to the report, an оперативное event revealed that a resident of Tashkent district in Tashkent region had been storing medicines illegally brought in from abroad through unofficial routes at his home and had been selling them to pharmacies in the capital.
During an inspection of the storage facility, officials discovered 76,318 units of 119 types of medicines, packed in 3,356 boxes, including products branded as “Frotu,” “Budenofalk,” “Gavisson,” “Baraslude,” and others. The items were documented and seized in accordance with procedural rules. Their preliminary total value was estimated at approximately 1 billion soums.
Samples of the medicines have now been taken and sent to the Center for Pharmaceutical Product Safety for expert examination.
It was reported that pre-investigation checks are currently ongoing in connection with the case.
It is worth noting that earlier, attempts were detected at the Navoiy and Oybek border customs posts in Tashkent region to illegally import biologically active supplements and medicines with a total value of 175.5 million soums, in violation of existing regulations.
