A forum on Central Asian security will take place in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, from April 23 to 25 this year, according to the state news agency Khovar.
The forum is being organized on the initiative of the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Tajikistan. The event will bring together representatives of strategic research institutions from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. It will also include officials from various ministries and agencies in Tajikistan, as well as researchers and experts specializing in security issues.
The forum program includes plenary sessions, roundtable discussions, and expert panels aimed at strengthening trust between countries and coordinating cooperation.
The main objective of the event is to discuss current security challenges in Central Asia and exchange views on their near-term development. Participants are expected to examine potential threats and opportunities in the security sphere, as well as identify transregional factors influencing regional stability.
It is worth noting that in October 2025, defense ministers of Central Asian countries met in Samarkand to discuss the implementation of joint initiatives in the field of regional security.
