Murder of Uzbek woman in Turkey officially confirmed (video)

Earlier, it was reported that a 36-year-old Uzbek citizen, Zulaykho E., was fatally stabbed in the throat in the Fatih district of Istanbul, one of Turkey’s largest cities with a high Uzbek population. The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul has provided information regarding this incident.

It was stated that investigative measures carried out to clarify the circumstances confirmed that the deceased was an Uzbek citizen, A.Kh.

According to available information, she had previously been deported from Turkey for violating the rules of stay in the country and was banned from re-entry. However, she later managed to return to Turkey under a changed name and surname.

A.Kh. was fatally stabbed by an unidentified individual. The local law enforcement authorities are investigating the crime. The Consulate General is providing the necessary consular and legal assistance to the victim’s family for the repatriation of the body to Uzbekistan.

The deceased woman was found with fatal stab wounds to her throat in a rented apartment in the Aksaray neighborhood. After being unable to contact Zulaykho for several days, her friends informed the owner of the apartment. Together with one of the woman’s close friends, the apartment owner went to the residence, and the door was opened with the help of a locksmith, where they discovered her body.

Inside the apartment, Zulaykho was found lying lifeless with fatal stab wounds to her throat. The police were immediately notified, after which an investigative team and emergency medical services arrived at the scene. Doctors confirmed that the woman had already passed away. Her body was transported to the morgue of the Forensic Medicine Institute.

An investigation has been launched into the incident on suspicion of murder.

It is worth noting that a 35-year-old Uzbek citizen working as a waiter at a restaurant in Turkey’s Aydin province was fatally shot on July 5 of this year. He sustained a severe head injury in the shooting and died at the scene.
