Uzbekistan lose to China and exit the tournament

On January 17, Uzbekistan’s Olympic national team faced China in the quarterfinals of the Asian Cup. Ravshan Haydarov’s side was eliminated from the competition after losing in a penalty shootout.
In the first half, the Uzbekistan team created several dangerous attacking opportunities, but failed to open the scoring. Neither side managed to score during the second half or extra time, and the winner was determined by a penalty shootout. In the football lottery, Uzbekistan suffered a 2–4 defeat.
