The Muslim Board of Uzbekistan has relocated to the Center of Islamic Civilization. This was reported today, on April 2, by the board’s press service.
According to the report, the leadership of the religious administration and its departments, headed by Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan and Mufti Sheikh Nuriddin Kholiqnazar, have begun operating from the new building.
“The moment you enter through the monumental Khorezm portal of the center and take the elevator to the second floor, you find yourself in a large foyer and the entrance area of the religious administration. As soon as you step inside, you can ознакомиться with Quranic verses, quotations from the president, and information about the board’s history and its muftis. Rooms allocated for the deputy chairmen and departments are located on both sides of the corridor,” the statement said.
It was noted that the spacious and bright rooms are equipped with electronically controlled heating and cooling systems, a modern interior, comfortable desks and chairs, furniture, computers, and other up-to-date equipment.
The building also includes small and large conference halls fitted with modern technology. Cameras for live broadcasts and full Wi-Fi coverage are available. Officials are monitoring all technical systems in the hall to ensure they function smoothly. A library is also located adjacent to the section occupied by the religious administration.
According to the report, the building at 47 Korasaroy Street will continue to house the Fatwa Center, the Hajj and Umrah Center, Quran and tajwid instruction, the financial control and analysis department, maintenance services, the information and analysis department, accounting, the studio, the Veterans Council, and the public reception office.
Earlier, on March 17 this year, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, together with members of the public, visited the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, which officially opened its doors ahead of the holy occasions of Eid al-Fitr and Navruz.
