Over 65,000 electric cars registered in Uzbekistan

As of April 1, 2025, a total of 65,200 electric vehicles were registered across the Republic of Uzbekistan. The National Statistics Committee reported this.

The number of electric vehicles by region is as follows:

•  Tashkent city – 49,736 units
•  Tashkent region – 4,512 units
•  Samarkand region – 1,739 units
•  Khorezm region – 1,415 units
• Fergana region – 1,376 units
•  Kashkadarya region – 1,338 units
•  Bukhara region – 1,133 units
•  Navoi region – 901 units
• Andijan region – 878 units
•  Namangan region – 700 units
•  Republic of Karakalpakstan – 525 units
•  Syrdarya region – 404 units
•  Jizzakh region – 302 units
•  Surkhandarya region – 198 units

According to the committee, during the period from January to December 2024, Uzbekistan imported 24,095 electric vehicles worth $224.8 million from abroad.

•  Kazakhstan – 51 units
•  Hong Kong – 17 units
•  Germany – 15 units
•  United Arab Emirates – 13 units
•  United States – 10 units
