The Uzbekistan national football team will play two matches during the March international window as part of the FIFA Series, facing two of the following teams: Gabon, Venezuela, and Trinidad and Tobago. The Uzbekistan Football Association reported this.
According to the association, the list of participants in the tournament to be hosted by Uzbekistan has already been finalized. Fabio Cannavaro’s side will face two of the three national teams—Gabon, Venezuela, and Trinidad and Tobago—within the framework of the competition.
The 2026 FIFA Series tournament will be held across several regions of the world. In addition to Uzbekistan, host countries selected for the event include Australia, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mauritius, Puerto Rico, and Rwanda.
The FIFA Series 2026 is a new international competition format that allows national teams from different confederations to compete against one another outside of official qualification campaigns and continental tournaments.
Teams will be divided into groups of four, each representing different regions of the world. Every team in a group will play two friendly matches.
