Uzbekistan announces players called up for January training camp

The Uzbekistan national football team, led by Fabio Cannavaro, will hold a training camp in the United Arab Emirates this January as part of preparations for the World Cup. The Uzbekistan Football Association’s press service has released the list of players called up for the international training session.

According to the report, the squad includes three goalkeepers, nine defenders, nine midfielders, and nine forwards from the Uzbekistan Super League.

The coaching staff decided that the training camp will take place in the UAE. Given that there is currently no international break and domestic leagues in many countries are ongoing, the squad mainly consists of players participating in the local championship and eligible for the national team. During the camp, the coaching staff plans to assess and monitor the players’ physical condition.

It is worth noting that earlier reports indicated that the Uzbekistan national team would participate in friendly matches in May against leading clubs from the Super League.
