Uzhydromet issues urgent weather warning

Today, October 31, strong winds and dust storms are expected in several regions of Uzbekistan, the Center of Hydrometeorological Services (Uzhydromet) reported.
According to the agency, wind speeds in certain areas of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, as well as Khorezm, Bukhara, Navoi, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, Tashkent, Samarkand, Jizzakh, and Syrdarya regions, may reach 13–18 meters per second and be accompanied by dust storms.
In the capital, wind speeds are also expected to increase to 10–12 meters per second, with possible dust rise.
“We ask residents and guests of these regions to take necessary precautions,” the report said.
Uzhydromet emphasized that during such weather conditions, citizens are advised to limit outdoor activities and wear masks when going outside.
