Today, on November 15, at the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit to participate in the seventh Consultation Meeting of Central Asian leaders, the Uzbek National News Agency (UzA) reported.

The high-ranking guest was welcomed at Tashkent–Humo International Airport by Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and other officials.

The summit, chaired by President Mirziyoyev, will be held in Tashkent and will focus on strengthening regional cooperation in Central Asia, implementing joint projects and initiatives in priority areas, and exchanging views on pressing regional and international political issues.

For reference, the initiative to hold regular consultations among Central Asian leaders was proposed by the Uzbek President in September 2017 during the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly. The seventh Consultation Meeting of Central Asian leaders will take place in Tashkent on November 15–16, 2025.

It is worth noting that earlier, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Tashkent at the invitation of President Mirziyoyev as an honorary guest for the consultation meeting and held a meeting with the Uzbek leader.
