Jennifer Lopez's concert brings Tashkent $3.3 million in tax revenue

J. Lo's concert in Tashkent generated more than 42.5 billion soums ($3.3 million) in tax revenue from the performance of American superstar Jennifer Lopez at the Bunyodkor Stadium on August 7, 2025. The figure was reported by the Fund for the Development of Culture and Arts, which organized the event.

According to the organizers, this was the first concert in Uzbekistan’s history featuring an AAA-category artist. On the day of the show, 31,144 people, including service personnel, attended the stadium. A total of 25,000 tickets were sold, with 67 percent purchased by foreigners.

In total, 15,330 foreign tourists visited Uzbekistan for the concert. Among them were 8,945 from Russia, 2,495 from Kazakhstan, and the remainder from Europe and the United States.

Between August 5 and 8, hotel occupancy rates in the capital were 25.7 percent higher than during the same period last year. On August 7 alone, the Chilanzor metro line served 16,500 more passengers than usual. In total, 115 organizations took part in the event’s organization, with 18 food courts and retail outlets in operation.

To ensure public order and safety, 88 road patrols, special equipment, and eight ambulances were deployed. Approximately 3,800 law enforcement officers, 300 volunteers, and 500 employees were involved in maintaining cleanliness at the event site.
