Flight 9S-3306 from Jeddah to Tashkent made an emergency landing at Bahrain International Airport due to a medical emergency on board. Air Samarkand reported the incident.
According to the airline, an elderly female passenger suffered cardiac arrest during the flight. The aircraft commander and co-pilot decided to make an emergency landing at the nearest airport to provide medical assistance. A medical team was called to the aircraft upon landing.
“The cabin crew provided all possible assistance to the passenger before landing. Afterward, local doctors on the ground carried out resuscitation measures. The passenger’s condition was stabilized, after which medical personnel transported her to a local clinic for further treatment,” the statement said.
It was added that after refueling, the flight continued to Tashkent with an approximate two-hour delay and landed at 9:49 a.m. local time on December 15.
It is worth noting that earlier, a flight from Istanbul to Tashkent made an emergency landing due to cabin pressure issues.
