Foreign national steals $9,000 at Tashkent airport (video)

On April 4 this year, a theft was committed by a foreign national at Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the report, a citizen born in 1994 in Jizzakh region arrived in Uzbekistan on a New York–Tashkent flight. While checking his luggage, he discovered that $9,000 in cash was missing. He then reported the incident to law enforcement authorities.
As a result of оперативно-search measures, the crime was solved. It was established that the theft had been committed by a foreign national who had been on the same flight. Relevant documents have been formalized in connection with the case.
It is worth noting that earlier in Tashkent, a courier and his accomplices who stole a safe containing $50,000 from the basement of a limited liability company were detained.
