64-year-old woman jumps from 7th floor in Tashkent

Reports have circulated on social media that a woman living in a multi-story building in the Bektemir district of Tashkent fell to her death from an uncovered section of the 7th floor corridor. To clarify the situation, QALAMPIR.UZ contacted Hayot Shamsutdinov, spokesperson for the Prosecutor General’s Office.
According to him, the woman, born in 1961 and living on Rohat Street in the Abay neighborhood of Bektemir district, intentionally took her own life by jumping from the 7th floor and died at the scene.
An emergency investigative team has been dispatched to the site, and an investigation is ongoing.
It is worth noting that earlier, in Termez city of Surkhandarya region, a second-year student born in 2007 at the Termez branch of Tashkent Medical University died after jumping from the 14th floor of a multi-story building.
