Uzbekistanis’ average annual alcohol consumption revealed

Uzbekistan has ranked among the countries with the lowest levels of alcohol consumption in the world. On average, alcohol consumption per capita amounts to 2.1 liters per year. This was reported in a study conducted by the analytical platform World Population Review.
According to the data, Central Asian countries consume significantly less alcohol compared to other regions of the world. In particular, annual per capita alcohol consumption stands at 5.4 liters in Kazakhstan, 3.9 liters in Kyrgyzstan, 3 liters in Turkmenistan, and 0.7 liters in Tajikistan.
The countries with the highest levels of alcohol consumption include Romania, with an annual per capita figure of 17.1 liters, Georgia at 15.5 liters, Latvia at 15 liters, Moldova at 14.1 liters, and the Czech Republic at 13.7 liters.
Among CIS countries, Belarus and Russia recorded the highest alcohol consumption levels, with annual per capita figures of 11.4 liters and 10.5 liters, respectively.
It is worth noting that earlier reports noted that Uzbekistan’s passport had climbed five positions in the global rankings.
