In the Andijan region, the driver of a Nexia-3 car hit two schoolchildren who were crossing the pedestrian lane. This was reported by the Regional Department of Road Traffic Safety.
According to the report, the incident occurred yesterday, October 12, at around 14:30, at the 343rd kilometer of the A-373 international highway passing through the Qurama neighborhood of Andijan district. The driver, S.R., born in 1969, was driving his Nexia-3 vehicle along the “Bog‘ishamol–Jalaquduq” route when he struck underage pedestrians N.Ya. and N.I., who were crossing the road from right to left at an unregulated pedestrian crossing.
As a result of the accident, the underage pedestrian N.I. sustained an injury to the left leg and was hospitalized at the Andijan branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care. The second pedestrian, N.Ya., was not injured.
Currently, a pre-investigation check has been initiated by the Andijan District Department of Internal Affairs regarding the incident.
It should be noted that on September 24 of this year, at around 19:00, on Panjikent Street in the Samarkand district, a Gentra driver traveling in the opposite direction at high speed hit a 15-year-old pedestrian and fled the scene.
