The flood that occurred in the Bulakbashi district of the Andijan region was caused by excessive water discharge into the canal during the construction of an additional hydroelectric power station on the South Fergana Canal. This was reported by Uzhydromet.
It was noted that the water flow reached approximately 15 cubic meters per second.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, water entered around 100 houses. Of these, 30 were severely flooded, while 70 experienced partial flooding.
It should be recalled that earlier reports stated that streets in the Bulakbashi district were inundated due to damage to one of the banks of the South Fergana Canal, which passes through the Sarvontepa neighborhood.
