In Tashkent, three individuals attempting to deceive women and send them to Turkey for sexual exploitation were arrested, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
The group, consisting of one woman born in 1997 and two men born in 1998 and 2003, had planned their scheme in advance. They targeted women from financially vulnerable families, intending to profit from sending them abroad.
Specifically, they gained the trust of two women from Surxondaryo and Qashqadaryo regions by promising employment in Turkey. In reality, the group planned to exploit them sexually in Istanbul for financial gain.
On February 3, the suspects were caught while preparing travel documents to send the victims abroad on a Tashkent–Istanbul flight, with evidence seized at the scene.
A criminal case has been opened, and initial investigative actions are underway.
Earlier, in Navoiy region, a 32-year-old woman was arrested for attempting to traffic four women to Russia for sexual exploitation.
