Almost 2 billion soums of electricity stolen in Bostanlyk dacha

The individuals illegally consumed electricity worth 1.9 billion soums in the dacha in Bostanlyk district, Tashkent region, the Department for combating economic crimes under the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.

According to the investigation conducted before the formal inquiry, citizens F.M., D.M., and others were found to have connected to the public electricity network in the ’’Chimgan’’ neighborhood without using a meter, illegally consuming electricity valued at 1.9 billion soums.

A criminal case has been opened under Article 185-2 of the Criminal Code (violation of rules for the use of electricity, heat energy, gas, or water), and investigative actions are ongoing.

It is worth noting that earlier, a secret canning workshop was found to have illegally connected to the gas network without a contract with the gas supplier, consuming 889,800 cubic meters of natural gas in the Bektamir district of the Tashkent region. This violation caused damage of 2.6 billion soums to the state and public interests.
