Fire breaks out at workshop in Fergana

A fire broke out yesterday, June 18, at a footwear production workshop in the city of Margilan, Fergana region. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported this.
According to the ministry, at 3:36 p.m., the regional Emergency Situations Department received a report through the 112 system that a fire had broken out at one of the homes on Oydin Street in the Tuyagum mahalla of the city.
Eight fire and rescue crews arrived at the scene at 3:41 p.m. The fire was contained at 4:00 p.m. and fully extinguished at 4:20 p.m.
As a result of the fire, the roof, interior equipment and products were damaged across 120 square meters of the house, 120 square meters of the adjacent footwear production workshop and 60 square meters of a warehouse used to store porcelain goods. Thanks to the prompt response, 200 square meters of the buildings were saved. No casualties were reported.
The cause of the fire and the amount of material damage are currently being determined.
Earlier, it was reported that a fire had also broken out in the area of the Kuyluk farmers market.
