Two dies in traffic accident in Fergana

Two people died after a truck and a Lacetti car collided in Uzbekistan district, Fergana region, the regional Road Safety Department reported.

According to the report, at around 1:30 p.m. on June 14, driver R.N., a woman born in 2008, was driving a Lacetti on the 21st kilometer of the D-098 Kokand-Yaypan-Isfara highway, which passes through Alisher Navoi Street in the A. Jomiy mahalla of Uzbekistan district. She failed to follow overtaking rules, entered the opposite lane and collided with a FAW Tiger truck driven by R.O., born in 1973, which was moving in its own lane.

As a result, the Lacetti driver, R.N., and passenger Z.Sh., born in 2007, died in hospital.

Pre-investigation checks are currently being carried out by the Uzbekistan District Department of Internal Affairs.

Earlier, it was reported that two people died in a race between a Damas and a Nexia in Uzun district, Surkhandarya region.
