The head of the Social Adaptation Center of the Mirabad district government in Tashkent city was caught accepting a bribe of $1,200. This was reported by the State Security Service.

According to the report, the official used his position to demand $1,200 in exchange for issuing a citizenship passport and permanent registration to a stateless person.

In a separate case in the Kashkadarya region, a state bailiff from the Karshi city department of the Compulsory Enforcement Bureau under the Prosecutor General’s Office demanded a $1,000 bribe in return for lifting a ban on a citizen’s vehicle. The ban was related to the recovery of a debt totaling about 70 million soums. The bailiff was caught in the act of receiving the money through an intermediary—the head of a farm in the Karshi district—during an operational operation.

Criminal cases have been initiated against the individuals involved, and investigative actions are currently underway.

It should be recalled that earlier, the chief specialist of the Construction and Housing and Communal Services Inspection in the Namangan region was caught accepting a $10,000 bribe, and the head of an LLC was caught with $4,400.
