Six Uzbek nationals arrested in Istanbul over drug trafficking

A group of Uzbek citizens was detained in Istanbul, Turkey on September 29 of this year, according to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in the city.
It was reported that six individuals were taken into custody in Istanbul on September 29 and placed in the closed-type Maltepe correctional facility the following day, September 30.
The detainees are suspected of committing crimes related to the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. During the search operations, material evidence was seized and sent for forensic examination. The investigation is currently ongoing.
It is worth noting that earlier, three Uzbek citizens wanted for committing crimes had also been arrested in Turkey.
