Mirziyoyev: Uzbekistan to open transfer office in Silicon Valley

Uzbekistan’s National Transfer Office will open in Silicon Valley, USA. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this today, November 28, during an artificial intelligence forum.

According to reports, a supercomputer cluster will be launched in collaboration with Nvidia, and Uzbekistan’s National Transfer Office will open in Silicon Valley, USA. AI school programs will be introduced in all “Future Centers” across the country.

Additionally, an annual competition among schools will be held to identify the best AI startup ideas. The winning school in each region will receive a state-of-the-art AI laboratory. A Presidential AI competition will also be organized, selecting 100 of the most talented young people each year for internships in leading tech companies in the USA, UAE, and Europe.

A major youth initiative, the “5 Million AI Leaders” project, will be launched, aiming to train 4.75 million students, 150,000 teachers, and 100,000 civil servants by 2030. AI education will be integrated into schools, vocational education, and higher education systems.

Furthermore, November will be declared “AI Month for Youth” annually, and the “Silk Road AI Forum” will be held regularly.

Previously, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted in a meeting on AI development that Uzbekistan could enter the top 50 countries in AI by 2030.
