Another explosion at gas station in Kokdala district (video)

On August 5, another explosion occurred at a gas station in the Kokdala district of Kashkadarya region. The Ministry of Emergency Situations provided official information regarding the incident.

According to the report, the explosion took place at 22:20 in the "Oltin Dala" neighborhood, within the territory of a vehicle gas filling station. The incident happened while propane was being transferred from a liquefied gas tank into a storage tank, resulting in a flash and subsequent fire. The incident was reported to the Fire Safety Service.

In response, five fire and rescue teams arrived at the scene at 22:22. The fire was localized by 22:30 and fully extinguished by 22:50. One tanker truck and a 10-cubic-meter propane storage tank were damaged in the fire.

The driver of the tanker truck sustained minor burns. Senior officials from the regional and district fire departments were present at the site following the incident.

It is worth noting that a similar explosion occurred last month at a gas filling station located in the same "Oltin Dala" neighborhood of Kokdala district, which resulted in the deaths of four people. The families of the victims were each compensated with 100 million soums. A criminal case was launched under Articles 205 (abuse of power or official authority) and 259 (violation of fire safety regulations) of the Criminal Code.
