Winter school holidays to begin on 28 December

Winter holidays in schools will begin on 28 December this year, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education reported.
According to the announcement, in accordance with Government Resolution No. 140 dated 15 March 2017, for the 2025–2026 academic year, winter holidays for general secondary school students will start on 28 December (for grades 1–4, the holiday begins on Saturday, 27 December).
The holiday will last until 10 January 2026, spanning 14 calendar days. As 11 January 2026 falls on a Sunday, lessons for the third term will resume on 12 January 2026.
