Winter break dates announced for students

According to a corresponding order of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the winter break dates for students of higher, secondary special, and vocational education institutions (state, non-state, and foreign), as well as academic lyceums, have been set for the current academic year. The ministry’s press service reported the decision.

The winter break will begin on December 28 this year and continue until January 10, 2026, inclusive. To facilitate travel for students returning to their permanent places of residence (the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the regions, and the city of Tashkent) during the break, additional transportation options will be arranged in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, Uzbekistan Railways JSC, and Uzbekistan Airways JSC.

Accordingly, from December 18, 2025, to January 12, 2026, inclusive, train and air tickets for students and pupils will be sold at a 50 percent discount.

Earlier, it was announced that the winter break for school students will also begin on December 28 this year.
