Mirziyoyev officially welcomed by the Mongolian President and First Lady

An official welcoming ceremony was held for the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who is in Mongolia on a state visit. The presidential press service reported the event.

President Mirziyoyev and his wife were welcomed by the President of Mongolia, Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, and his wife.

A guard of honor was formed in honor of the distinguished guests at Sukhe-Bator Square. The national anthems of both countries were performed by a military orchestra.

The two presidents walked past the guard of honor and greeted members of their respective official delegations.

Following the ceremony, President Mirziyoyev signed the Book of Honored Guests at the State Palace of Mongolia.

After a joint photo session, high-level negotiations between the two sides began.

As previously reported, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Mongolia on June 24 with his wife as part of a state visit. This marks the first high-level visit between Uzbekistan and Mongolia since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992. The visit is considered reciprocal, following the Mongolian President's visit to Uzbekistan in 2024. During the meetings, the two leaders signed 14 bilateral agreements and documents.
