Fraudulent company leaders arrested in Namangan

Authorities in Namangan region have arrested individuals who promised citizens overseas employment. The State Security Service reported the incident.
According to the report, the head of a consulting firm in Namangan city gained the trust of a local resident and, through acquaintances, demanded $10,000 to send the individual to work in South Korea. He was caught in the act with $1,500 received in advance, along with material evidence.
In another case, an employee of a consulting firm operating in Namangan was apprehended while receiving $2,000 from a resident of To‘raqo‘rg‘on district for a promised job in Latvia.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated against both suspects under Article 168 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code, and investigative measures are ongoing.
Previously, individuals in Tashkent city and Kashkadarya region were arrested for deceiving people with promises of Umrah pilgrimage trips. They faced charges under Article 168 (Fraud) and Article 211 (Bribery) of the Criminal Code.
