Street hooligan known as “Eshon” detained in Namangan (video)

A man known by the nickname “Eshon,” who was engaged in street hooliganism and illegal activities through intimidation, has been detained in Namangan city, the regional Department of Internal Affairs reported.

According to investigation materials, B.N., together with his accomplices, summoned an acquaintance living in Namangan to the Barkamol Avlod neighborhood and accused him of “not taking part in street matters” and failing to respond when called. The suspects then assaulted the victim, striking him with their hands and a sharp object, causing bodily injuries.

A forensic medical examination conducted by the Namangan regional forensic service found cut and stab wounds on the victim’s left shoulder.

It was established that the suspect, who introduced himself as “Eshon” and was known as someone allegedly “resolving street issues,” had been exerting pressure on citizens and carrying out illegal activities.

The suspect was detained in accordance with procedural requirements. A criminal case has been initiated against him under Part 3 of Article 277 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code by the investigative department of the Namangan City Department of Internal Affairs. Preliminary investigation is currently ongoing.

Earlier, criminal cases were opened and arrests made in Khorezm region against three individuals known by the nicknames “Jommi Darital,” “Malish,” and “Rasul Qilich,” who had also established so-called “street groups.”
