Daycare worker jailed in Navoi for beating children (video)

On April 8 this year, a video circulated on social media showing a caregiver at a private preschool institution in Navoi city treating children in her care harshly, torturing and beating them. The regional Department of Internal Affairs has commented on the incident.

According to the report, the incident took place on April 7 at a private preschool institution located in the Yangiariq mahalla of Navoi city and headed by citizen S.S. A caregiver employed at the institution, identified as E.N. and born in 2003, allegedly beat the children in her group mercilessly under the guise of maintaining discipline.

It was also established during the investigation that from March to April this year, the suspect had systematically abused the children under her care by beating them and committing other violent acts, taking advantage of their vulnerability and limited ability to defend themselves.

In connection with the case, the Investigation Department under the Navoi city Department of Internal Affairs opened a criminal case against E.N. under Part 2 of Article 110 of the Criminal Code, which covers torture. The suspect was detained in accordance with procedural rules. Preliminary investigative actions are currently underway. Upon completion of the investigation, a lawful decision will be made regarding those found guilty.

It is worth noting that earlier, a caregiver at a preschool institution in Ohangaron city, Tashkent region, was dismissed after it was reported that she had used physical force against a child in her care and insulted the child with offensive language.
